Beneficiaries: To father, Thomas Phillips, 2 yearling heifers
To brother, John sister
Elizabeth a cow each.
To his brother Thomas, his leasehold messuage and lands etc. called
Spring Castle in Michaelchurch Eskley. Together with 'one heifer all my flock of sheep and horses and all other my personal effects.' Brother Thomas to be responsible for testator's debts and funeral expenses.
' And whereas I have on
31 July 1815 contracted with James Spencer of Hay for the purchase of a cottage, garden and lands called Bailey Breth in Michaelchurch Eskley for a price of £120 and have paid him £50 of the purchase price but no conveyance has yet been made. Now I bequeath to my brother Thomas all benefits arising from said contract and request James Spencer to convey the premises to Thomas if I should die before the purchase is completed. If purchase completed I bequeath Bailey Breth to Thomas.

Executors: brother, Thomas Phillips

Witnesses: Henry Meredith and Phillip Jones of Michaelchurch Eskley and John Knowles of Hay.

Documents comprise a will, 2 end sheets, and a note from James Spencer of Hay dated 27 Sept 1821 , 'Dear Sir, inclosed you will receive the will of Evan Phillips - I will send you the money for the probate in the course of a week.' 4 documents.
