Beneficiaries: 'Whereas I do owe and stand [indecipherable] unto severall persons….in several sumes of money …the sayd debts be payd out of my personal estate viz unto Anne Parry of Cusop, £5; unto Anne Williams of Mychaelchurch Escley, £4; To Thomas Jones of Peeterchurch, 40/-; To Margery Gylbert my daughter, £10: To my Ante Anne Powell, £6 10 0d.'
Repayment of the debt to his aunt Anne Powell, under an agreement, is to be delayed for 10years and the money to be used by his wife Jayne. At the end of ten years the repayment is to be made to his nephew Thomas Knight.
To niece, Bridget Knight, 3 couples of ewes and lambs.
To nephew, Thomas Knight, £8.
To nephew and godson, John Watkins jnr, one 'stond' [castrated?] three year old colt.
To his wife, Jayne, all the rest of goods cattle and chattels

Observations:

The documents include a bond date 5 October 1677 with bounden Jane Powell and Thomas Smith both of Michaelchurch Eskley in a surety of £200, appointing Jane Powell administrator of the estate. Also an accounting dated 9 February 1678/9 showing debts and legacies paid with a surplus of £45 18 4d passed to the executrix.
The inventory includes cattle, horses, sheep, poultry, 18 bushells of corn in the barn, 15 ac of standing corn, 10ac Oats 1 ac Barley. Also leather 'now in the tan pits valued at
£12 8 0d
6 documents including 2 end sheets.
