Beneficiaries: To his 'dear wife' [un-named] and son Samuel, a messuage, garden, bakehouse and lands in Hay in the possession of Mr Jarvis, for their lifetimes, and after the death of the survivor of them, then to pass to son William Maddy. Also to his 'dear wife' [still un-named] and Son William, two cottages or dwelling houses in Long Lane, Peterchurch to sell and the proceeds to be divided between his children [un-named] 'As my son John is already apprenticed to a saddler he is to receive £30 less than the rest of my children. My daughter Ann and her husband shall not receive her share until she finds security for repayment of the same in case she has no lawful issue'.
