To Walter Simon, my godson, 2/6d.
All the rest of his household stuff, goods ,cattle, chattels etc to wife, Jane.

2. Inventory: dated 26 ecember 1682 value £35 11 2d. Appraisers David Smyth and Philip James.

 

 

Observations:

The documents include a bond date 12 January 1682 with bounden Jane Powell of Michaelchurch Eskley, widow and Ann Traverse of Glasbury, widow in a surety of £100, appointing Jane Powell administrator of the estate of her late husband.
The inventory includes cattle, horses, sheep, pigs poultry, 'corn and grain in the barn and growing on the ground'
