1. Will dated 9 July 1643
Beneficiaries:
To the cathedral church of St Davids, 6d
To Mary Parry, daughter, all his freehold lands lying in the parish of Peterchurch and 'her heirs lawfully begotten and for want of such issue to Anne Parry one other of my daughters and her right heirs for ever'.
To Margaret, 'my now wife', £50, which sum is in the hands of Paul Delahay Esq.,£20, in the hands of Gyllian Delahay, £20 and in the hands of Thomas Powell Maddy, £10 all by specialties. Testator's wife is free to obtain the money or renegotiate the loans as she wishes.
If there is any problem and a need to sue any of the parties concerned for the money then the wife 'shall be siesed of ye whole as if I had been lyving my self'
Executrix to repay Paul Delahay Esq., £5 'which I did borrow of him since Candlemas last'
To executrix, one yoke of my biggest oxen to sell for the repayment of Paul Delahay's loan
To Anne, daughter, a yoke of oxen coloured brown.
To Ellinor , daughter, a mare coloured brown bay.
To Sybill, daughter, another mare coloured iron grey.
To Mary, daughter, one lease and grant taken of Michael Thomas gent, during the term of the said lease yet in being with all the corn and grass.
All goods unbequeathed to be equally divided between the 4 daughters, Mary, Anne, Ellinor and Sybill. With Mary entering into security with the other three for each of their parts being independently appaised by honest friends.
