1. Will dated 3 April 17791
First all just debts, funeral and probate expenses are to be paid.
Beneficiaries:
All household stuff, cattle, horses, pigs, sheep implements of husbandry and 'a other my personal estate goods and chattels whatsoever' to his executor to be sold and after paying his debts etc the money to be invested and the interest to be paid annually to his daughter, Mary Russell wife of Joseph Russell during her lifetime '…and that without the control of her husband notwithstanding her coverture [legal standing as a wife]…'.
On her death the principal to be divided between as many of her children as are still living. If any are under 21 then they are to be paid on their attaining 21.
