To Lewis Edward, £3, one sheep and one coarse sheet.
To Mary, daughter of her son Thomas David Madocke, 6/-
  To the children of daughter Sible, late wife of Phe[Phillip] Powell, 13/4d to be equally divided between them.
To William, Thomas and David, children of Edward Lewis, one sheep each, a lamb each and 20/- to be equally divided between them.
To Margaret vch Thomas, a yearling sheep.
To Edward Lewis, a cow and a coverlid.
To Mary, daughter to Madocke Poll[Powell?] John, one lamb.

Executor: son, James Thomas.

No indication of mark or signature on this copy.

Witnesses: Lewis Prichard, Marry Madocke Po[we]ll John, John Parry.

10 March 1626 valued at £31 11 4d [but comes to £31 18  8d]. Appraisers: David Thomas Madocke,jnr and David Thomas Harry Price. 

 

Observations:

Despite the handwriting of the will superficially looking neat and tidy on the page it is sometimes tricky to decipher.
The documents include a bond dated
12 March 1626 with bounden James Thomas of [Michaelchurch] Esklie, yeoman with David Thomas of the same  in a surety of £60
Her inventory is reproduced below with modern spelling.
