To son, Phillip and son, John, 13 kine with one bull, one yearling bullock, a mare and six calves to be divided equally between them.
To son, Phillip, one great brass pan and one great coffer.
To grandchildren, William and John, 2 brass pans, 2 brass pots, 2 feather beds 3 bolsters, 3 coverlets, 3 pairs of flaxen sheets, 6 pairs of hurden sheets, 2 blankets one great trind, one gridiron, 3 stands, one picked, 3 tubs, one 'churlere??? [butter churn?], 2 little trinds, 2 coffers, 3 table boards, one bench, 4 pewter platters, 3 bedsteads, 3 pails, one candlestick, 6 spoons, 3 spinning wheels, one brandiron, 'together with all the rest of my howsewald stoofe unbequeathed??? between them.
To grandson William, a cow called Browney.
To grandson, John, one heifer calf.

Executrix: son, Phillip David [and added on a separate sheet] with son John as overseer for grandchildren William and John???s legacies which they are to have once they reach 'the age of discretion??? in the meantime any proifits from their legacies are to be used for their maintenance..

Observations:

The documents include a bond dated 29 October 1639 with bounden Phillip David of Michaelchurch Escley, yeoman and Thomas Prees of St Margarets in a surety of £200.
