Recitation of fine of the present Michaelmas Term by which Elisabeth Vaughanand Katherine Vaughan assured to John Hoskins the manor of Tremorythige atMoreithickeston and 6 messuages, one water grist mill, 6 gardens, 6 orchards,340 acres land, 120 acres meadow, 400 acres pasture and 140 acres wood inVowchurch, Bacton, Newton, Turnastone and St. Margaretts, to the intent thatJohn Hoskins and his heirs stand seized of the properties of the manor ofTremorythige al. Morethickstoune limited with all messuages etc. 40 acres ofland, 20 acres of meadow, 100 acres of pasture and 40 acres of wood (formerlyconveyed to the Mayor etc. of Hereford) John Hoskins shall stand seized to theuse of the Mayor, aldermen and citizens of Hereford towards the maintenance,relief and sustenance of the poor of an almhouse or hospital in the suburbs ofthe city of Hereford called William's Hospital. 1. William Wood of Little Russell Street, parish of Saint George, Bloomsbury,co. Middx., cider merchant and Frances his wife, only child and heir of HerbertHaselden late of Stepney in the fields, co. Middx., grocer and tobacconist,grand daughter and heir of Magdalen wife of Robert Haselden late of OverHulton, co. Lancs., who was one of three devisees in fee under the will ofHerbert Howorth of Burghill co. Hereford, and one of five sisters and co-heirsof Herbert Howorth.
2. William Downes of the city of Hereford, gent.
Recites will of Herbert Howorth and the deaths of Herbert Howorth, MagdalenHaselden and Robert Haselden.
Consideration: £100 paid now and £1,000 to be paid as soon as Downes' title issecured by judgement of a court of law with interest of 5% per annum paid halfyearly.
Now (1) convey to (2).
A third part of the manor of Whitehouse Alias Jenkin ap Richard: capitalmessuage called Whitehouse and its appurtenances in Vowchurch Turnaston (sic),Saint Margarets, Clodock, Bacton and Newton: messuage called the Gilva in SaintMargaret's, Bacton and Newton: meadow or parcel of meadow near the Rock, parishof Saint Margaret's: two tenements at Turnaston in the possession of Francisand Henry Howells. To be conveyed subject to the payment of Herbert Howorth'sunsatisfactory debts.
Also (1) assign to (2) a third part or any lesser share of the rents andprofits of the property from the time of Robert Haselden's death and appointhim their attorney to receive the rents.
Lease marked E docketed "In Chancery between William Wood and Francis hiswife Plts. and William Downes Deft. I undertake to admit the Execution of thisDeed marked (E) by the said William Wood and Frances his wife on the hearing ofthis Cause without proof thereof by the Subscribing Witness. Dated this 19 dayof September 1807. B. Fallowes".
