Requests to be buried in the parish church of Rowleston
Beneficiaries;
To forgotten tithes, 11d
To the cathedral
church of St Davids , 6d.
To wife, Johan verch Richard, 'all my lands for the space of 8 years next coming to kepe & mantayne her children'.
Son Thomas Scudamore and wife Johan verch Richard are to sell the two closes purchased from Watkin ap David and  his wife Gwladys to  pay £10 to his 3 daughters, that is £3  13  4d to each.
But if Thomas pays the £10 as instructed then he is to have 'the Right interest in those two closes for ever'. However should he refuse to pay the girls the £10 then the closes are to go to the three daughters, Elizabeth, Johan and Blanch.
His wife Johan verch Richard to be residual legatee.

Observations:

There is a bond dated as probate with bounden Johan verch Richard widow, relict of Phi[llip] Scudamore of Roulston co Heref & Griffith John ap Kydd of Llangua co Monmouth in a surety of [indecipherable - £20?].
The instruction to 'sell' the two closes is ambiguous when considered in the context of  the following paragraph. It seems to mean that Thomas is to borrow against them for the £10 rather than dispose of them for money.
