Description:

1.Will dated 29 May 1748
Beneficiaries: To Catherine, wife, the house, garden and orchard together with her gold rings, wearing apparel, household goods, bonds and notes with the interest thereon, and chattels for her lifetime as long as she does not re-marry.
And on her death:
To son, James what money due by bond and interest from Richard Scudamore the elder re-leased by Anne Price to testator.
To son, Thomas, the house, garden and orchard together with all tools and implements, all of which is to be kept and not disposed of until he attains the age of 21 plus any good and trumpery not mentioned in the will.
To daughter, Mary, £20 and the great chest and a feather blue bed with appurtenances.
To daughter Catherine, £20 and a red feather bed with appurtenances.
To daughter, Ann, a feather bed and one small chest and an oval table.
To daughter,
Elizabeth , £20.
'All my pewter dishes, plates, trenchers pots and kettles to be divided equally between my daughters'

Observations :

Interesting to see the beds differentiated by colour in the will although the inventory gives no indication of the house's contents. Includes separate registration instruction and a cover sheet; 5 sheets in all.
