1. Will: dated 29 October 1671
Beneficiaries: To brother, Thomas Jenyngs, all the leather and stock in the tan house and all other goods, cattle  and personal estate for the settlement of debts and funeral expenses; any surplus  to brother, Thomas.

Executors: brother, Thomas Jenyngs.

2. Inventory: undated, value £37 7 0d. Appraisers Thomas Jenyngs and Thomas Prosser.

 

 

Observations:

Documents includes a bond with Thomas Jenyngs bound in a sum of [?]£100, and a coversheet; 4 sheets in all. An extremely interesting will giving, as it does, some detail of the tanning trade with a bark mill bark and raw hides though what a Dicker was is unknown. This man seem to be related to Charles Jennings, tanner [BR/1671/170].

A dicker is an obsolete measure of hides.
