Description:

1. Will: dated 6 October 1680 .
Beneficiaries: To niece, Elizabeth Saunders, a feather bed and bolster, one blanket, 4 pr of sheets, one red rug, the middle brass pot, a little brass pan, a posnet, two of the biggest pewter platters, one lesser platter, a pewter candlestick, 12 lb of wool, half a hundredweight of cheese, the bedstead in the parlour, 2 coffers, one little barrel, or kinderkin, a milk trind, a pail, a pickett, a burkin[firkin?] tub, a woollen wheel and a linen wheel, 4 bushels of corn, 5 bushels of oats, half a flitch of bacon, 12 lbs of 'Roossbeff' [?roast beef] and one of my little pigs.
To godson and nephew, William Powell, 50/-, to be paid half within one year of the testator's death and the second half a year later.
Residual legatee to be David Powell,nephew, the remainder of his estate to be used to pay debts and funeral expenses with David keeping the surplus.
