Beneficiaries: To David Jones alias Williams, the natural son of Mary Parry, wife of James Parry of Michaelchurch, an annuity of £10 to be paid out of all that farm and lands called The Gilva in St Margarets and any other of the testator's holdings. On the death of David Jones a similar annuity is to be paid to David Jones' son. The payments to be made in 2 half yearly instalments on 25 March and 25 September. Delay in payment by more than 28 days entitles the recipients to seize and hold the property until payment and arrears are made up. Also to David Jones alias Williams, his wearing apparel and an empty hogshead.
To Mary Pitt, 'natural daughter of Rachel Lewis and wife of John Pitt (now living with me at the Gilva)', his house and lands in St Margarets and Newton for her lifetime and, subject to the payment of the annuities, to receive the rents and profits, without their being subject to control, debts or engagements of her husband and after her death the house and lands to pass to youngest son, James Pitt, subject also to the payment of £20 legacies to both his brother David and his sister.Mary Anne.
There is a proviso that neither Mary Pitt nor James may fell any timber on the estate until it 'shall be of sufficient value to pay off the mortgage charged upon the same'
Also to Mary Pitt, all his household goods and furniture.
All his money, securities, farming stock, crops Implements of husbandry and other personal effects to be equally divided between Mary Pitt and David Jones once his debts have been settled and funeral and legal expenses paid.
