1. Will: dated 29 June 1765 .
Beneficiaries: To niece, Frances Prosser, daughter of brother Huphrey Prosser, £10 also her velvet [?]Marghelet, her velvet hood, her best silk gown, her best cambrick apron, a pair of hearth screens, two gold rings, a large silver spoon, and four silver tea spoons marked with the initial letters of my name.
To nephew, Richard Prosser, £20, her great Bible and two volumes of Dr Sherlock's works.[ probably a theological rather than a medical Dr]
To nephew George Prosser, £10.
To niece Mary Board, £5.
To Jane, wife of Thomas Fenner, £5.with the proviso that it 'be put out on bond or other sufficient security for her own sole and proper use and that she may have a power to give and dispose of the same to such of the children as she shall think fit after her decease and that her husband Thomas Fenner shall not have any right, title or interest therein whatsoever
To William, son of William Prosser of Newbrook, £10
To Mary, daughter of David Roberts of the Green, Newton, £3.
To Rowland, son of Rowland Lewes of

Observations:

No inventory. Documents include a coversheet; 2 sheets in all.
The Will contains a great deal of interest mentioning as it does articles of women's clothing and the attempt to provide an independence for a married beneficiary. The photocopy is rather faded.
