All goods, cattle and chattels household stuff and implements of husbandry to the Executrix 'for ye paying my debts, funeral expenses and legacies'.

Executrix: daughter Margery [ there is a fold in the original that prevents the photocopy being read at the point where Margery is appointed executrix and thus her legacy cannot be deciphered]

20 June 1679 , value £57 16 10d. Appraisers Thomas Watkins, James Wainewright and Robert Harrison.

 

 

Observations:

Documents include a bond dated 22 June 1679, with Margery Williams, spinster and John Phillpott, gent bound in surety of £100; 3 sheets in all. It is interesting to see the testator spread his legacies over time so as not to put too much stain on the farm's resources. Margery was clearly expected to continue to work it.
