This press cutting is pasted into the rear of a notebook compiled by WS Wood of Whitehouse.
Whilst outside the Hundred of Ewyas Lacy, this letter by WS Wood to the Journal, sets out an interesting situation on Vowchurch Common. The Common had been totally encroached by commoners but Guy’s Hospital, who had adjoining farms, started charging increasing rents based on “an undefined manorial claim”.
